This Spring, over 600 eighth graders from El Monte City School District descended on our nation's capitol for their end-of-the-year study trip. All students were able to attend at no-cost travel expenses for them or their families.

Cleminson students, once scattered across various interests, have found common ground in the world of electronic gaming, particularly through the beloved Nintendo Switch console. Esports brings structure, teamwork, goals, and sportsmanship to students' current gaming interests.

Meet Steven Trujillo, a professional choreographer whose journey has led him back to his roots, igniting a passion for dance within El Monte City School District’s (EMCSD) youngest learners. Mr. Steven, as his students refer to him, is a former Gidley School alum, attending from kindergarten through eighth grade and now he has introduced an exciting Breakdancing 101 program to EMCSD students.
